Takedown and removal requests

If you made the project

You can ask for your project to be removed, or for its listing to be corrected, for any reason. Email us from an address or account connected to the project (or open an issue on your repository mentioning smog) and tell us which entry. No legal paperwork needed.

Copyright and DMCA notices

smog does not host game files. We list projects published by their creators, link to their releases and, only where a license allows it, mirror their binaries. If you believe an entry infringes your rights, send a notice that includes:

1. the smog page address (for example https://smog.games/games/some-entry/);
2. the work you believe is infringed;
3. your name, the rights holder you represent, and how to reach you;
4. a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized;
5. a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the rights holder;
6. your physical or electronic signature.

What we do

1. We take the entry page down and delete any mirrored copy of its files.
2. We add the entry to the revocation list in a new signed catalog, so every smog launcher disables it at its next refresh.
3. We reply to tell you it is done, and let the creator know where appropriate.

If you are a creator and think your project was removed by mistake, reply to the notice with a counter-notice and we will walk you through it.
