OpenGOAL (Jak and Daxter trilogy)
Native PC ports of Jak and Daxter, Jak II and Jak 3 via the OpenGOAL launcher. Needs ISOs of your own PS2 discs.
- Native port
- Linux untested
About
OpenGOAL revives GOAL, the Lisp dialect Naughty Dog wrote the Jak and Daxter games in, and ports Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II and Jak 3 to PC natively. This entry installs the official OpenGOAL Launcher, which downloads and updates the OpenGOAL release, extracts your disc image and manages texture packs and mods.
No game assets are included: you need a .iso made from your own retail PS2 disc. The
launcher asks for it during its setup and builds the game from it. Needs an OpenGL 4.3
GPU and a CPU with AVX. Launcher data and logs live in ~/.config/OpenGOAL-Launcher/.
