Garry's Modcraft (Minecraft in Garry's Mod)
Play Garry's Mod as a Minecraft player: a hidden Minecraft client shares one world with GMod maps, props and NPCs.
- Passthrough mashup
- Linux untested
About
Garry's Modcraft runs a real Minecraft Java client hidden next to Garry's Mod, linked through shared memory. Minecraft handles moving, digging and building; Garry's Mod draws Minecraft's blocks, mobs and HUD in its own frame, and sends map collision, props, NPCs and players back so Minecraft collides with them.
You can dig through GMod map floors and walls, build block ramps vehicles can drive on, physgun mobs, and wire redstone to Wiremod and map doors. A dedicated GMod server plus a Minecraft server on the same Linux machine lets friends play together.
Requires Garry's Mod on the x86-64 beta branch, Minecraft Java with a Microsoft account, and Prism Launcher. Derived from SkyCraft (MIT). The project is a work in progress; Linux x86-64 is the tested platform.
